A more common term for
hemorrhoid is
piles. Most of
the time people notice them when they form a lump
outside the anus and for a period of time they
develop symptoms such as itching, pain and bleeding.
This is what medical professionals call as external
hemorrhoids. They are the ones that are generally
located outside the anus. However, this is not the
only type of hemorrhoids. There is also another one
called the internal hemorrhoids. Internal ones are
located inside the rectum which is why people do not
know they have it until there is bleeding or the
case becomes more severe. One can distinguish what
type they have depending on the location and the
symptoms. The internal ones are generally not
painful except when they become severe. The external
ones are generally painful and itchy. Aside from
these two types, when both of these become severe
they form different types and are called
differently. A severe case of external hemorrhoids
is called thrombosed because a blood clot occurs
inside the hemmies while a severe case of internal
ones is called prolapsed because the hemmies
protrude outside the anus.
Some of the symptoms
you will experience are pain, itching, bleeding and
discomfort. Most of the time, you will notice the
bleeding after every bowel movement. You might
experience itching and pain even when you are not
passing stool because the piles are located outside
the anus and can sometimes become irritated.
So if you are suffering from piles and does not
want it to become severe, it is important to find a
cure as soon as possible and at the same time
preventive measures are of high importance. With
this condition, prevention is more important than
cure. It is because even if it is already cured but
you do not do any preventive measures, there is a
high possibility that it will come back.
